This Arc Flash Electrical Safety course trains workers to be safe while working on or around electrically energized equipment. The course is structured to help companies fulfill requirements set forth in OSHA 29 CFR Part 1910, Subpart S Electrical and NFPA 70E® “Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace,” which requires this type of instructor-led training for anyone working with electrically energized equipment. The program is designed to reduce liability for the employer while establishing a culture of safe work practices. Class includes hands-on work on a 2 vertical metal cabinet type of industrial MCC (motor control center). Many real time examples of component failure have been cataloged and are reviewed.
Each student will receive class books, work activity sheets, self-test progress evaluations, as well as questions from the instructor to make sure they understand the material presented. It is expected that an attendee will leave the class with the basic knowledge of the subject and possess new found skills to better equip them when they return to their job. A certificate suitable for framing will be issued to each attendee who successfully completes the course.
