Who we are, What we do & How we do it
Hands-on Training classes & Maintenance Engineering Consulting
Who we are
Our company was founded over 40 years ago to meet the needs of facilities, healthcare, food processing, government & industrial maintenance organizations. To that end we have been involved in all aspects of maintenance – troubleshooting, repairs & training in all 50 states. During these years the question asked most often by both management as well as the folks turning the wrenches & ringing out the circuits was – where can we get hands-on training? Not just by somebody who read the book, but someone who has done the work! Fast forward to 2015 when we addressed those questions by establishing the MTI Hands-on Training Center located just off I-95 in Newark, Delaware. All of our instructors have over 35 years actually working in maintenance. They’re not someone who just read the book & never did the work – they’ve walked the walk!
What we do & how we do it
In order to provide realistic Hands-on training, we have invested heavily in equipment & tools for our Hands-on Training Center to the tune of over $200,000. Most of our classes include work on full size industrial equipment, for example ANSI, split case & API pumps for our pumps classes and a pair of 60HP 1800GPM pumps for our alignment classes. Add to that full size powered motor control centers as well as table top units for building & ringing our circuits & you get the idea. For most of our classes,, over 50% of the class time, students are working on something. For example in our pumps class, students will tear down pumps and rebuild them to OEM specifications. We keep our classes small in order to have the instructor available to help students as the need arises.
Lastly, we still offer our services in maintenance engineering to consult on equipment problems as well as setting up Predictive & Preventive Maintenance programs, Maintenance Storerooms, Accountable Work Order systems and so on.

they got to work on real circuits.”
